Last weekend we went camping with some friends, actually they went camping and we crashed the party. They invited us, but they also did all the work and we got to have only fun! And fun
it was. Our friends Keith and Shelley, co-workders of Kevin, and their two teenage sons, picked a great spot just north of Idaho Falls. The highlight of the day was canoeing, and even better was capsizing in the water! Yes, we all, Kevin, myself, Leo, Shelley and Keith, got to experience the chilly water
with direct contact! The older boys chuckled at us as they continued on down the river in their tubes. Leo had a life vest, but was quite shocked at the cold water, as were
we all. Thanks to the sunny weather we had we all dried quickly, but teasing the culprit, Kevin, took a little longer to die down. After recovering our seats in the canoe, we saw a moose cross the river where we had capsized, possibly hoping we had dropped a Twizzler or two? Sorry Mr. Moose, no food for you. Needless to say, Leo loved being in the boat and used his own little oar to help Kevin and Keith paddle.
The video below is when we went to see the beginning of a the river, a sight I have never seen but was pretty neat to see and hear the water just bubbling up from the ground.
The water was crystal clear, thus we could see all the
beautiful trout swimming beneath the large flock of seagulls. We even saw a muskrat, which Leo kept calling an otter.....close, buddy.
So this is one example of how animated Leo's speeches can be, we just can't wait to hear them with real words. He was preaching fire and brimstone to the fish, and I'm sure they were listening....OK?!

He's so cute. Very shy too. NOT He's going to be a talker like his mom. See if you had gone camping in AZ you would have thought you fell into a hot spring. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I can't wait till Sean is older so my family can start camping again.
