Yes, we did it! Yellowstone in one day was the feat that Anne and I pulled off with Leo in tow. He was a trooper but was quite delirious by the day's end. And of course we did not hit all the places we wanted, but did a fair amount for one day. We saw Old Faithful, which to me is a bit anti-climatic for all it is talked up. I had taken Anne out to Soda Springs, ID where they have a geyser that I thought could replace Old Faithful so we could see other attractions in Yellowstone, but was completely embarrassed when we saw the largest MAN-MADE geyser, basically a big fire hose shooting up out of the ground that goes off every hour. Haha. Yellowstone gave us views of some beautiful hot pools and wonderful scenery. Animals spotted included a herd of buffalo, to which Anne got WAY too close, lots of Elk, and a fox. And we saw the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, though the pictures do not do it justice.
We also saw our local Potato Museum, yes we do indeed have a museum to celebrate Idaho's gold. They have the world's largest potato chip! We had a really great time with you Anne, and are so thankful you came all this way to visit! Can't wait to see you again, friend!
