Random Moments

The kids decided one day they wanted their faces painted with our leftover halloween paint. Actually, Little Man decided, and of course his Little Shadow is quick to follow suit! I am sure she was feeling very original as a pink tiger. Afterward they scampered outdoors to prowl in the wild "looking for other tigers", as Little Man puts it. He is convinced that tigers once lived in the huge ditch next to our house and is always looking for their bones.

Little Miss has given up naps, or rather we have taken them away so she doesn't take TWO HOURS to go to sleep at night. Some days are harder than others to make it through, and after a hard day of ditch digging and tiger hunting, well, who wouldn't be tired? What's really funny about this is that after sleeping like this for 20 minutes, she awoke as I was cleaning her up, and picked up eating right where she left off.

This is in the tiger infested ditch, and for sure a helmet is needed while venturing these wild lands! Little Man even put on his helmet one afternoon while indoors playing a Curious George "crashing" game on the computer. He is a huge Curious George fan! That, and Zaboomafoo....

On a particularly blustery day. Every two minutes he came in from outside to add to this finally complete outfit. Then, of course, two minutes later he decided he was done playing outside.

Every bit the typical toddler, he loves to organize his legos by color or size and line them up. He then asks me to take several pictures of them. Oh, and this shirt is his favorite, he would wear it every day if only I could clean it fast enough. He loves shirts with hoods, and will wear the hood allllllll day, like he's Joe Cool or something.

I love it and am so looking forward to seeing the facial expresions when Leo tells his stories as his creative juices flow and flow. His 3 cousins from NE will wonder what is he talking about :-) but that's okay all 4 girls will give Leo ideas to add to his stories!

It is wonderful how far Madeline has progressed.

See you all soon :-)
