Playgroup

Getting her diploma
We have officially aged out of playgroup.  When we first moved here and knew only the Kozmo Clan, Playgroup was our outlet to get out and meet people.  It's a bit like preschool, once a week, where parents interact with their little ones and then the parents get a 45 minute parent only session.  Did you catch that?  45 MINUTE PARENTS-ONLY SESSION!  Not that I looked forward to that 45 minutes or anything.  During that PO session, sometimes the playgroup director was able to rein in the conversation to focus on a particular parenting topic, but many times it was guided by us moms, occasional dads, and whatever we wanted or needed to talk about.  Was it always focused on how to be a better parent?  Yes, except when it wasn't.  I would elaborate--what happens in playgroup stays in playgroup, sorry!

This last year, Little Miss got to attend playgroup all by herself, which she thought was pretty special.  Little Man, who was too old this past year, played at his friend's  house while I got some one-on-one time with my little girlie-girl, who loves shoes, dresses, and all things girly.  We had a great time!  She was in a group of mostly girls, which she also loved, as our neighborhood is full of testosterone.  She can definitely keep up with the boys, but girl-time is so special for her.

So, until our next phase of 1-4 year olds, we bid playgroup adieu, and thanks for the memories.
