So far 2012 has been, well, not all that much different from 2011! We still have no snow, and we are so deficient that our local ski resort has closed. It has been more of a South Carolina winter, which to be honest, I haven't minded too much, but this week we'll get dumped on and all Idahoans should be happy once again. They do love their snow here. One friend posted that if 2012 is indeed the end of the world, she would hate to have this be the last ski season ever!
We had fun welcoming in the New Year with a few friends, and even the kids stayed up until midnight. They both had naps that afternoon, so they were ready to party! We played games, then watched the ball drop and I am amazed that Dick Clark still makes his appearance. Does anyone out there know how old he really is? I am guessing 102, seems like he's been around forever. We lit up some sparklers and littered the yard with poppers as 2012 rolled in. This was the first year since kids that we've made it to midnight....go us! Have a great 2012, live like it is your last!
