Teeth and Fairies

Not only did we learn to swim this summer, we met another rite of passage.....loosing teeth.  That's right, multiple teeth!  In one month's time, Little Man lost his first two teeth, both on the bottom.  The first was lost at the hotel in Pittsburgh, during far east excursion.  We were all over the map this year, I tell ya.  But I digress.  In the hotel, he was munching mindlessly (which means while watching tv) on an apple, and out flies his tooth!  We nearly lost it on the hotel floor, but it was recovered, during much commotion, by his cousin.  And for those that weren't sure if the tooth fairy visited hotels?  Why, yes she does!  Complete with her fairy dust, and a 5$ bill, AND a piece of gum.

The second tooth finally made it's exit on our way home from NE, just inside the Idaho border.  So you can bet the tooth fairy found us at home that night, home in our sweet beds that we missed.  She did not, however, carry over a 5$ tradition past the first tooth, which I know causes you to breathe a sigh of relief.

Little Miss is now daily insisting that her rock-solid teeth are somehow loose.....ah, does the competition never let up?

So, just before our trek home, Aunt Bubba
lent me some dental floss to attempt a "knot-&-yank" tactic

This was only successful at garnering insane giggles
from Little man, as the floss kept sliding off.

After losing first tooth....he was a rich man, until we hit
a toy store, that is....

Has L or M discovered any more loose teeth? Another sign they are growing up way too fast ;-(
