Given last year's stark absence of snow, we thought we better take advantage of any opportunity to sled. Thus, we took the morning off from our normal school work and hit the hills! You can see from the pics that the snow was quite patchy, but for a snow that was supposedly not going to accumulate, we thought it was not too bad! The hills were nice and slick due to the layer of ice underneath, and we had a doggone good time, full of double dog dares. Little Man is pretty brave, and almost hit a tree a few times, and a person a few other times. So our homeschooling lesson for the day? A bit of physics, complete with theories on gravity and force, with a bit of thermodynamics....we did end the day with some hot cocoa!
