Christmas day was a great day spent in our pjs until 2 pm, just hanging out, playing, dancing to Leo's new rhythms on his drums and eating. Thankfully the kids slept in as they were up late again, but once they saw the tree, which to this point had no presents underneath, they were giddy with excitement. Santa brought Little Man exactly what he asked for: 5 police cars and 3 planes, along with other great stuff. Little Lady got some more girly toys like a tea set and baby dolls, and both had a great time tearing through paper, opening whatever they could get their hands on. Half way through they actually allowed us to take a breakfast break before we finished up with more gifts from family far away and from each other. We started the day with Father Tim's Christmas morning casserole featured in the Jan Karon books, and ended the day with a Christmas Lasagna that was scrumptious! A couple days later we finally got to making our birthday cake for Jesus and are enjoying that as well learning about the wise men on their trek to Jesus.
