Kung Hei Fat Choy!

It is the year of the rabbit! In learning about our adopted Chinese culture added to our family a few years ago we have had fun learning what animal we all are. Kevin and I are both rabbits, so this is our year! We have also learned that rabbits are compatible with dogs and pigs, which makes us compatible with each of our kids. Whew, what a relief! Although, if you were a fly on our wall you may not always see us being so compatible....haha. I mean, just how compatible can one be with two toddlers?

Here's a bit of information on Rabbits, you can decide if it fits us or not. Rabbits are talented, articulate and lucky. They are also wise, moody and artistic home-bodies. Their financial luck and cool heads make them good business people. They are quietly strong-willed. They are discreet and dislike rudeness. When threatened they are unpredictable. Rabbits hate to fight. They are peace-makers and make good diplomats, lawyers or actors. Compatible with Sheep, Pigs and Dogs.

We had a fun celebration with our other Chinese-cultured friends, and even got to meet the newest addition to a family, a 15-month old. Little Man was feeling a bit left-out I think, too many girls apparently, but we all had a good time catching up and trying out some Chinese recipes. I fixed Lion's Head Meatballs and little egg tarts, as well as fried rice, and we also enjoyed homemade pot-stickers. The girls enjoyed dressing for the occasion and we were able to snap a few shots. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
